My Background
Age eight I had to stay home from school for a couple of weeks. Mom found a block of newsprint paper, tempura paints, and opened the encyclopedia to “animals.”
Media
Oil paints are my favourite, but any colours absorb me… acrylics, water-colours, house paint, coloured pencils …
and more – photography and film.
My Inspiration
People are such interesting creatures. How they pose for a portrait. That special face. Or how a group of people look when they are in a conversation, activity, reacting to an animal, immersed in war, religion, sports, or home-making. My frame of reference for art is limited only by the edges of invention.
